This is my big boy that I killed last spring, he's a Canadian Black Bear weighing about 340-350lbs. He has a huge white chevron patch on his chest. Every bear I have killed has always had a White V on his chest. This one though I'm doing a full life size mount. My husband n I love hunting together. He got me into it and now it's a passion of mine, even if we are just in our tree stand watching a deer or fox or whatever just seeing these beautiful creatures and how beautiful they are. I call the Bears silent ghosts cause you never hear them coming in. Well that's all for now. This is my big boy that I killed last spring, he's a Canadian Black Bear weighing about 340-350lbs. Isn't this weird the patch on my entlopes back? Has anyone ever seen something like this before? Our guide said he's never seen it but doesn't change how thrilling of a hunt it was. I killed him with a 7mm perfect shot in the shoulder and he fell right where I shot him.

Well I knew it was gonna be a good day, could just feel it!. I had deer all over right at first light. They stayed in an area about 100 yards out in front of me. They were chasing around so hard it was tough to even tell what was what. Well after a near an hour of this torture they finally made it over my way. There were 5 different bucks and one obviously hot doe. Four of the bucks were little smaller 8s/6s. I'm watching them and all the sudden I hear some crashing down over the bank of the little feeder stream I'm hunting near. I look over and just see the very top of his rack coming down the crick towards me, yes I said crick lol, with his nose so far up that doe's butt that he was oblivious to everything else. He hit the one opening I had and I took the shot. Was 35 yards. At the shot he simply jumped about 6 feet and just stood there and looked at the arrow in the ground behind him. A few seconds later he just fell over, lol! Got to love these Stingers, never even knew he was shot Hit right across the top of the heart. It took me a good 15 mins to stop shaking enough to even climb down, lol! I knew he was big but not this big, no ground shrinkage at all, actually just the opposite. I'm pretty sure I passed him a couple weeks earlier, if not very similar. He was at 44 yards, I only go to 40 yards, plus it was really windy anyhow so I passed on him. I think that really paid off in the end.Well I knew it was gonna be a good day, could just feel it!. I had deer all over right at first light. Illinois haven't scored him. He was an old deer on the downhill that makes him more of a trophy than any rack score. It was all two of could to get him on the 4 wheeler. He had battle scars all over and was very gray. And I made an excellent shot and this old tough son of a gun still ran over 600 yards. His rack is not one of my largest by no means but his story is worth every penny!
